Individual personal training is our most popular and customised programme. Every aspect of your fitness programme is planned according to your individual goals and needs.

Smart Group Training is our science-based, highly effective, small group training system. It caters to the goals of the group’s members – either fat burning or muscle building. It is ideal for colleagues, friends and family members to join together for social support.

A:

We strongly recommend the Individual programme if:

  • You are new to gym training or a structured exercise programme
  • You have any pre-existing joint pain, or medical/health conditions
  • You have movement or flexibility problems
  • You require a flexible training schedule
  • You have very specific goals other than fat burning or muscle building e.g. sports performance, injury rehab or photoshoot preparation.

Smart Group Training works best if:

  • You have some athletic or gym training experience
  • You have no medical or health issues
  • You can fit into the class schedule
  • Your goal is fat burning or muscle building
A:

During the free, no-obligations consultation, the centre manager will go through your goals and explain how we work with our clients. You will also see first hand how we train our other clients. If you decide to join us, we will do the assessment, which is included in the package price.

The assessment involves body composition measurement, assessment of strength and flexibility, and analysis of nutrition and other lifestyle factors like sleep and stress. The results of the assessment are used to design your customised program.

A:

You are given up to 4 weeks extension of your contract to complete any unused sessions. Alternatively you may choose to use more sessions during the times when you are available.

A:

Clients need to book their sessions 24 hours in advance via phone, text message or email. Clients can schedule sessions any time that the gym is open. Genesis Gym does not allocate trainers to any of our clients. Instead, we coach as a team, giving our clients the benefit of the knowledge and experience of the whole Genesis Team. It also gives you flexibility to schedule your sessions whenever is most convenient for you, without worrying about needing to match the trainer’s schedule. You will not run into the problem of signing up but being unable to use your sessions.

Every individual’s results will vary. This also depends on how willing a client is to change and to commit to a new healthy lifestyle. That said, we have excellent reviews and a very good track record of getting people the results they are looking for, if they are committed to follow the exercise, nutrition and lifestyle plan that is provided.

A:

Clients need to select one centre that is convenient for them for training. However, if there are long-term changes to location (such as moving house or shifting office), then it is possible to transfer to another centre if needed. At Genesis Gym, we pride ourselves in knowing our clients well and each centre will track their clients’ progress with a file that is kept within the gym itself. In addition, follow-up measurements and adjustment of the programme is done by the coaches at each centre. Hence, we recommend that you select a centre exclusively to train in.

The gym facilities are only open for clients to use if they are following the programme that is designed for them.

A:

All our trainers are based at our gym. However, for no additional cost, we will design and teach you programmes for you to use at another gym that you have access to, such as at home or work. We will also integrate the training you do at your own gym with the training you do at Genesis Gym.

We accept cash, credit card, cheque and NETS payments.

A:

On average, each session lasts about 45 to 75 minutes. This depends on various factors like your schedule, your flexibility, the programme you are currently doing, and your overall fitness level.

A:

There is no age limit and no minimum age requirement. For our younger clients, we advise that you speak with your parents and get their support. If parents are involved in the decision to sign up, please ask them to come for the consultation with you.

A:

There is no cancellation fee or refund, but you can find someone to take up the remainder of your contract if you are not able to complete it for an unforeseen reason. For personal training, they will be required to pay the fee for the initial assessment.
